I believe that we can solve our biggest problems by working better together.
I also appreciate that working with others is really hard, especially when everyone has opposing views and opinions. But giving space to all of those opinions is exactly how we unlock success in solving our trickiest issues.
Creating truly accepting and collaborative spaces where all voices are heard is my specialty.
The background story
Because Agile got its name because discovering Agile is where it all began. However, through the years Valerie has discovered a passion and the skills to help any group or team gain a better understanding of each other, understand their purpose as a group and work together to gain success. With an evermore VUCA world, Because Agile now focuses on collaboration as a skill to build sustainable success across teams, project groups, leadership and stakeholders.

The backbone behind Valerie's practical work is her leadership model, the "McLean Loop of Leadership Agility'. She operates from a stand point that everyone can be a leader, regardless of their place in hierarchy and guides groups towards this place of equity.

With 20+ years experience working with teams and making them as good as they can be, Valerie has all the skills needed to guide you towards success.

When she's not a team collaboration ninja, Valerie is a busy mum of two, out in the garden growin fruit and veg, taking in a view from a Scottish hillside or playing the bass clarinet.
